The above Soldier's Medal Card on Documents online and Ancestry have him recorded as

Gunner Douglas Bayde

I have checked his MIC entry and his surname is recorded as Bayde

He is on the 1901 Census as Bryde.


I can't locate a birth Registration for him to confirm the correct spelling.
