Read a good book about family history or history recently? or what do you think of your Genealogy Software. Why not tell us about how good, bad or indifferent you think it was.

Grandad did a Dastardly Deed – 50 More Family History Traps – Kate Broad & Toni Neobard

This book is the sequel to Granny Was A Brothel Keeper so you know from the beginning that it is going to raise a few giggles.

Although this book is aimed mainly at beginners and points out some of the pitfalls they will encounter while researching, there are enough reminders for the experienced family historian to keep them amused and revisiting their previous finds.

It has amusing anecdotes so doesn’t belabour the lessons which you are learning along the way.
A small book with lots of good advice, especially about interpreting what you have found and the pitfalls we so easily fall into, that I found very easy to dip into frequently rather than sit and read through like a novel.
