Not too sure that there are many WWII records available, generally speaking we need to apply to the MOD and pay for them, but hopefully there may be some come available recently and somebody might know where to point you to.

I did tap the details into Forces War Records and got a result.
Not sure how much info they have but would be nice to see it.
I'm going to write off for his service records anyway sometime soon.
Knew 'Fred' from about 1987 when he was 80 right up to his death in 2006.
Top man and a real gent.
