John Stott
1882 Born Manchester about 1882
1901 (Census) with the Grenadier Guards (Served during the Boer War)
There is a note that he was formerly Regt No 8595 Grenadier Guards (Boer War Number?)
1904 Married Kathleen/Catherine Agnes McElroy
1911 (Census) The family was living in Sirdar Street, Liverpool at the census of 1911
1911 (Census) Occupation was 'Timekeeper(Safe Works)' - probably Milner's?
???? He enlisted again for WW1
1915 He was Killed In Action 15th/18th May
1919 His widow Kathleen was living at 32 Everton Terrace
1919 Kathleen re-married - Frederick Ernest Atkinson - and moved to Park Avenue, Fazakerley
There were a lot of John Stotts in the British Army during WW1. I finally isolated the right one from the Register Of Soldiers Effects that showed Kathleen as his wife. Then I found the Medal Card. There's no information about when he re-enlisted, where he was living at the time or if he was in any reserve before re-joining. Any information to fill in the gaps would be very welcome.
