Hello, yet another question.
I have found my g. grandfather's military papers in the above battalion on Anc. It has given me a shaky leaf hint for my grandfather but looking at the DOB it is definitely his father, they share the same name.
As his previous trade is described as a dock labourer, I can only assume that there had to be some kind of army presence at the docks in Liverpool.
What would these men have actually done on a daily basis?

'British Regiments 1914-1918' by Brig. E.A. James shows '1st and 2nd Dock Battalions [of KLR] formed in Aug.1915 and in (?) Liverpool where they remained'.
