I came across these Roll of Honour notices in the Liverpool Echo.

21st July 1917

JONES-In loving memory of our dear son Wm. Jones, R.G.A, Killed in action July 21st 1916-Deeply mourned by Father, Mother, his 3 children and brother (in training) 44, Crosfield Road.

JONES:-In loving memory of our dear brother, Wm. Jones, R.G.A, killed in action July 21st, 1916-Inserted by his sister and brother-in-law Ada and Martin Abella.

I had no William Jones in my index however I did have a William Johnson:-

Son of John and Harriet Jones, of 44, Crosfield Road, Edge Hill. Brother of Ada Abella, of 8, Bridgewater Street.

Wages and Effects register records him as William Johnson and his NOK Mrs. Ada Abella

I have Ada Jones recorded as a Visitor on the 1911 Census at 44, Crosfield Road, born Stafford. Even though she records herself as married in 1917 I have her getting married to Martin Abella in 1920.

I have the Jones family on the 1901 Census residing at 143, Wavertree Road, this gives William's birthplace as Woolton.

I have tried to locate William Jones/Johnson on the 1911 Census with no luck.

Any help appreciated.
