If this is the right John/Jack Wade, the above find indicates Stayleybridge as his place of birth.

The Ashton district covered Stayleybridge.

Just an update. Jack Wade has now been put forward a a IFTC case. Thanks for all your help.

Also 1st Class Pilot Edgar Howard Lewis was not a fatality of the mining of the Alfred H Read. He died of Pneumonia 28th December 1917 at his sisters residence in Queens Drive.
