Private Joseph Davies W.W.2

Having received amazing help with regard to my relatives "Wilde" and have now built up a nice history of that family, especially with regard to Merchant Navy Service and the Irish conection, I wonder if I could ask for further help with regard to my father.
His name was Joseph Patrick Davies of Old Swan, Liverpool and born July 1907, a bricklayer. Having worked at Silverstone on the W.W.2. Airfield until ?1942 he was called up and I understand he was for a time in the K.S.L.I. and later was in The Royal Engineers. He was involved in the "D Day" landings but not on the initial landings. I know as a fact that he was posted to Palestine 1944 or 1945 where he met my mothers brother who was a South Lancs regular.
I have joined "Find My Past" and have had good information including original documents with regard to my grandfather W.W.1. but for some reason I cannot access anything at all about my fathers military service. Perhaps you may be able to help. Thank you, Bill
