A request has gone in to Liverpool Town Hall for him to be included in the Hall of Remembrance. They would like his age included in his entry. There is no additional information on CWGC and I have no record of an article or Obituary for him. All the family know is that his was the son of Patrick and Margaret McNamara and he was from the Anfield area?

Daggers is also working on this query.

Can anyone help

I have checked Census and Baptism on LHP site, but no Patrick with a father called Patrick mother Margaret.

I know that if a man was born between 1870 and 1901 there is a strong possibility he will have served WW1.

(I am still learning)

Thanks for all help

To help with the search for the son Patrick's DoB I tried to find his parents' marriage. A combination of FreeBMD and Lancs BMDs produced only one Patrick McNamara and Margaret ? marriage between 1865 and 1900.

Marriages Dec 1878: McNAMARA, Patrick married WILLOCK, Margaret [Liverpool, Register Office or Registrar Attended] Liverpool 8b 353

For Margaret to marry I would assume she was at least 16 years old which would put her latest YoB at 1862. A search on FreeBMD for a birth [all counties] between 1850 and 1862 gave just one hit....
Births Dec 1857: Willock, Margaret - Blackburn 8e 262

Unfortunately, the 1871 Scotland Census gives two more possibilities....
WILLOCK MARGARET bn 1855 - GENERAL SERVANT - Arbroath, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland
WILLOCK MARGARET bn 1859 - Scholar - Govan, Tradeston, Lanarkshire, Scotland

So still looking....
