Liverpool First World War Research Committee

Katie and I have already mentioned this but I thought I'd give it a fresh post for the new year - we have set up a group for anyone interested in First World War research, it's based around Liverpool because that's where we are but members don't have to have a specific connection with the city.
It's free to join via our website http://www.liverpoolfwwresearchcommittee.co.uk and we have lists of useful websites, an event diary and directories of projects and contacts - all a bit empty at the moment but we hope members will help to fill them.
We'll be looking at ways to support researchers, organising get-togethers, workshops and talks all with the aim of developing a community of people who want to discover, record, research, interpret, share and conserve First World War heritage.
Unlike most other WW1 groups at the moment we are not asking members to donate their research to us, we want to build up a community, not a database!
