I've been asked by the family of this man whether we can provide any information about his service and his death, this soldier's nephew is gravely ill and would like to know what happened to his uncle.
CWGC tells us that he was KIA 22/6/1917 aged 20 and is commemorated on the Ploegsteert memorial.
Thanks in advance
Amanda

King's Liverpool Regiment
Marc
242194
Edward
Private
Liverpool
22nd June 1917
Missing
Son of Edward Marc.
Date of list: 6th August 1917
He was posted as Missing in action in a list published 6th August 1917. I have no other entries for him. In some cases Amanda it could have taken up 12 months to 24 months for him to be officially declared Killed.
The families would then place Obits in the paper. I have Face booked you some information regarding a relative of Edward who lives in Manchester.
