I have the following:-

Royal Flying Corps
Simpson
6261
James
2nd Class Air Mechanic
Warrington
Died of wounds
Date of List: 31st July 1916

2nd Class Air Mechanic James Simpson appears in a casualty list dated 31st July 1916 as having died of wounds. According to his medal card he died on 13th July 1917. I can't find him on CWGC. I am also querying the date of death on his medal card.

I have two James Simpson death registrations.

Deaths Sep 1916

Simpson James 25 Medway 2a 709

Deaths Sep qtr 1917

Simpson James 34 Woolwich 1d 970

Has anyone got access to the Warrington Guardian to see if there may be a obituary or report of his death or a burial for him. That's assuming he died in England.

Any help appreciated

Also could someone cross check for me that I haven't missed him of the CWGC site.

He is on CWGC with no first name but intials MJ. Died 13/7/16, buried in France, parents with Warrington address.
I used geoffs Wonderful search engine, and four RFC Simpsons turned up.
