Oh dear, yes I would imagine it likely to be Murphy himself, people will just argue back likely from pride and won't admit that they may have been wrong in their research, also of course if it were proved that their book was not factual they would also lose financially.

An update on the identity of the William Connelly, labourer, at Walton Workhouse on the 1891 Census. This man was probably William Connell who died at Walton Workhouse and was buried at St Mary's CE Bootle on 24th February 1893 aged 74 years. William Connolly VC can't be found on the 1871 and 1891 Census he has only been identified on the 1861 and 1881 Census.
