'Plus One' on the thanks to Mary. I didn't get far in my search until I discovered this forum and Mary - what she does here is exceptional. Thanks also to yourself and the all the others who have helped me enormously over the year. Happy Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all, thank you to Mary for steering this ship on a steady course and the time she devotes.

Many deserve a pat on the back, if I may single out Katie and thank her for the work she does for our lads.

Finally, God Bless, Brian (Dickiesam) and his family, their first Christmas without our friend.

Thank you everybody but I couldn't look after this forum without all your help, you do so much for those searching for their roots in our wonderful city, I'm in great admiration of some of the nuggets you manage to dig up.

I hope you get all you wish for at Christmas and many brick walls solved in 2016.

I will raise a toast to you all and also to our absent friends.

I would also like to thank Mary and all those who help on the site. Many thanks to Blue 70 for all his help to me this year in knocking down my brick wall. Hope you all have a good Christmas and a brilliant 2016.

I think it was Dickiesam who once said 'Onwards and backwards!'. Lets hope we all succeed in finding our ever elusive ancestors. Many thanks to Mary and all who give their time so willingly.

If you fancy writing up even short stories about your ancestors, which might help you collecting all together, why not forward one or more to our webmistress who would love to post them on the new page on the website.

Just got in here in the nick of time (thanks to my hard drive frying). Thanks to those who give their time so selflessly to make this the best FHS there is, and hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas. xx
