Well they certainly chewed the fat off that one - 10 pages of moans.

We did have a discussion over on our own Facebook Group and of course it caused us problems at the Help Desk, but all seems to be up and running this morning.

Hi Everyone
I finally got my ancestry back too thought it was ok till I tried to view someone's download and photo;s only to be told I was not subscribed for that.

Checked my account and have over 12 months world wide because it took a month and the year before I could stop month. Not impressed pay a lot for the platimum international and not getting it.

Sent a email asking what is going on and do we get credit for our lost days. Worth a try! :D

I enjoyed this quote from elsewhere a couple of days ago,

"Ancestry.com is still down, so I spent some time with my (living) family.

They seem like nice people".

Rootsweb is back up today, at last.

They've been working to fully restore the whole site for a week now. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

Thankfully it was extremely useful at the Record Office this afternoon although the usual method of logging in wasn't working.

Anybody wanting to use Ancestry at the library needs to ask about how to get in.
