How do I get rid of

Announcements that head each topic please?
I find them annoying to see them everyday in each topic, some are out of date.

Good question Tina. I have found the recent plethora of Announcements a bit much as well, even though they are intended to be informative and helpful. Unless you are a programmer or an administrator I don't think there is a way to modify the web page to 'hide' the Announcements. Might be an idea to have a separate forum for announcements? Have to wait for an 'expert' to comment.

I have tidied up the announcements and will suggest to those that post that they are kept to the News Board. However, there are certain posts, such as those that remain, that we want people to take note of, especially new forum members. These have been kept to a minimum, hope they are not so obtrusive now.

Thanks to Mary for the tidy up.
I think a big thank you is due to Mary for all the work she puts into helping to run the forum and what she does for the society. Wish I had half her energy.
