Researching at Liverpool Library

I just read that the library is now open and I am trying to plan a trip in order to complete some research. I was hoping for some guidance as to the availability of B/M/D records, are the records on microfilm/fiche and can I photocopy the images? What are the latest dates of these B/M/D records that the library has open to the public? For the earlier records, I assume it is the church records which are available?
I looked on the library website but had a hard time navigating the record holdings, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Renee

The Record Office has baptisms, marriages and burials in the form of church and cemetery records. They don't have births or deaths. A lot of Liverpool baptisms, marriages and burials are on Ancestry. Ancestry is available free at all Liverpool libraries:-

The BMD indexes are on microfiche, however I believe all the machines are now microfilm, which include a facility to enable reading microfiches as well as films.
The majority of Parish Registers are on microfilm, however the catalogues of them in ring binder files, showing the dates on film, also detail the individual dates that have not been microfilmed and are in document form only. These would need to be ordered 24 hours ahead of time.
Findmypast as well as Ancestry is available at the Library.
Katie has very usefully listed the contents of the new microfilm cabinets

It is not clear from your enquiry whether you realise that B/M/D's are the indexes only, the actual certificates need to be ordered from either the GRO or the local Register Office. It might benefit you to read some of the guidelines we have put together here
