We have a copy of "The Last Of The Mohicans" that was given to our family by the Coakley family who were doctors. The dedication reads "St. Francis Xavier's College Liverpool. Prize Awarded to P. Coakley. Classwork... 1935-6".

I did some research on the family and I think P. Coakley was Thomas Richard Patrick Coakley who was known as "Paddy" he and his father Thomas Joseph Coakley were both doctors in Great George Square:-

Paddy Coakley played cricket for Liverpool CC in the 1950s, mainly as a fast bowler.
