Came across this in the 1861.
Letting the world know you were badly done by and why there's no 'man-about-the-house'.
NORMANDALE, Jane - Head - Married - 33 - Deserted by her husband - Yorkshire.

Maybe something about the 1861 census.. women told it as it was.
Elizabeth Coyles Berry bn c 1822-1864 L.pool
married:William Gaspard Wyse 21 Mar 1841 St mark liverpool
Elizabeth says 1861 census she has been deserted by her husband.
1861: 61 gill st mount pleasant l.pool.
Elizabeth had seven children to Mr Wyse, followed her up, she did a Grand job!
Cannot find William on a census
