Every time I visit the forum I tick the box asking to be logged on automatically and every time I revisit I have to log on again. What am I doing wrong?

One of those questions that have been asked before, and it just doesn't always work I'm afraid. There could be settings in your own browser that precludes it happening, as also if you clear your cache it loses the details.

Thanks, Mary. It's not a big deal, just wondered if it was me!

Hi Barbara,
I log on to the forum at
http://www.forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/index.php instead of the Home page and I am logged in automatically every time. If you visit via the Home page there may be a glitch when you are 'transferred' to the forum area.
Try the direct route and tick the box there when you log in.

Strange, before the updated software I didn't stay logged on but I do now.
Are you registered with any other sites and do they keep you logged on?

I am logged on at two other sites but this one cuts me out after a certain period if I do not visit.

Well done D, I know just how dreadful it would have been if they had been lost forever. Now you need three backup copies everywhere!!!
