Emigration to Australia in 1911

Post by Blue70 »

I thought I'd share this discovery of an Australian newspaper article about the arrival in Australia of the "Torilla". It mentions Andrew Sprott one of my Nan's Scottish cousins who sadly died just before they got there. The family had five other sons on the ship and had another son born to them in Australia:-

Hi Blue,

Makes it more poignant when you know the names you are reading about are your family.

Very moving.

Another little angel.
Very interesting. Didn't know the steel rails for the Qld railway were made in Belgium.
Thanks Blue.
