Thank you to The staff at Liverpool Records Office

Post by padjo1 »

Hi All

Just would like to post a mention to the staff at Liverpool Records Office this Morning.

Thank you two the two ladies and the gentleman who helped us no end.

Showing me where the records where, what records where available, how to use the reels and micro fiche, and advised of all the leaflets we could have at no cost, an absolute credit to Liverpool Libraries and Records Office.

Thank you ladies, for your help and support, and to the gentlman who asked would we be coming back, and we chatted to for a while - Oh yes   and in addition advised us about the experts who come in to the Records Office on a Tuesday afternoon :D :D :D

Thanked them all, and would certainly recommend a visit to the records office, a free service what more could you want.

regards

Michelle

Now that's a compliment and a half at least! I haven't been to the LRO yet but hope to at some time in the future. Your comments make it really something to look forward to... especially on a Tuesday afternoon! I did spend several lunchtimes in the Library back in the 50s when I worked up in Lord Nelson Street.

Yes they are very helpful aren't they, and I hope your mum enjoyed the discoveries.

DS if you manage to get to the Record Office one Help Desk day, make sure it's on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and stay in town for the evening meeting.

I can assure you that there will be plenty of advance warning that I am on my way so you will have time to put the flags out and put the kettle on!
