I no longer appear to be able to stay logged in. Am I missing something??

And you could clear your cookies to start over, that might help.

I was ticking the remember me box . I had better clear board cookies. Please give me a clue Thanks Lynne

Not the board cookies. all cookies, you will find this in your settings.
