What a name!

Post by steveflan »

I follow a guy called Myko Clelland on Twitter (@DapperHistorian) who posted about a fabulous birth certificate registered at West Derby in 1883 where the child of Arthur Pepper and Mary Jane Pepper nee Creighton was registered with 26 given names - one for every letter of the alphabet from Ann through to Zeus!!

I'm now wondering if any of you has an Ann Bertha Cecilia Diana Emily Fanny Gertrude Hypatia Ivy Jane Kate Louisa Maud Nora Orphelia Quince Rebecca Starkey Teresa Ulysis Venus Winifred Xenophen Yetty Zeus Pepper in your family tree??

In case you are wondering, the GRO index entry only shows the first four names Ann Bertha Cecilia Diana Pepper

We've heard Myko previously at one of his talks at the library, he works for Findmypast and is also very knowledgeable about Ireland.

Coincidentally this same birth was mentioned at our last meeting - notice that there is no first name beginning with P!!
