I'm very sorry to pass on the sad news of our friend Daggers passing. He was a long standing member of our Society, number 33 and attended the same night school course prior to the inception of our Society, together with Joyce and Harold Culling. He was a stalwart of our Forum and responded often to requests for help posted to our Journal. He has been ill for quite some time.
Below you can read what his sons sent me to let us know, I have sent our condolences.
With apologies for the email, I am very sorry to tell you that our father Richard (you may have known him as Dick) passed away on Monday.
He was able to come home from the Royal Liverpool Hospital and spend a few weeks with us here, Receiving excellent support from the caring teams from Marie Curie. He was admitted to the Marie Curie centre in Woolton, Liverpool last week, where he was made as comfortable as possible and spent his final days.
I cannot tell you just how good the care he received from both the local and hospital NHS teams was, and all the staff as Marie Curie provided fantastic support not only to Dad but also to our Mum, Val. They do such incredible work.
With our best wishes,
