Anfield Cemetery

Post by MaryA »

One of our members has been doing a reconciliation of items held on Ancestry (as I did for RC Registers) and has asked me to post this information for you all.

Liverpool Cemeteries on Ancestry-I have just gone through the Cemeteries that are on Ancestry. I have come across a gap in the General Section Burials at Anfield Cemetery records between 1950 and 1960. All the rest of Anfield Cemetery (C o E/RC/General) Registers appear to be complete 1863-2000.
General Section was/ is for anyone not Church of England or Roman Catholic. If there are burials you can't find between 1950-1960 that might be the reason.

As far as I know the Register is at the Library (on microfilm). Will double check next time I am there. The microfilm registers on Ancestry were borrowed from Liverpool Library/Record Office for the the purposes of indexing and putting on the internet. As far as I know the registers at the Library/Record Office are complete so it is an error by Ancestry.
