Sunnymede, Thornton Cleveleys

Hi all, I am trying to find my great grandmother, Catherine Traynor in the 1901 English census. She married in June that year at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Thornton Cleveleys. Her occupation was 'domestic servant' and her address at the time of the marriage was Sunnymede, Cleveleys Thornton.

I'm not sure if this is a private residence or a hotel, but if the latter, would there be any record of its location to enable me to cross check if she was there at the time by using FMP address search on the census.

I have looked through all of the Traynors in Liverpool and Fylde in 1901 but cannot see her. Her father was deceased at the time of her marriage, unsure of the mother, so I am assuming that she was living and working over here before her marriage.

Many thanks, John

"Domestic Servant"
Would that suggest a private residence rather than a Hotel?

Just thinking a hotel employee may have a title, chambermaid, waitress, etc.

I've tried the keyword "Sunnymede" and also Sunnymead in the keyword search on both 1901 and 1911 censuses with no joy, the nearest is in Fulwood, Preston.

Thanks Mary, I did think after posting that domestic servant would relate to a private residence. If the marriage certificate had a road name on it then that might have helped.

I suppose it is possible that she might have gone back to Ireland before the wedding, but I have checked all variations of surname, and Catherine or Kate. Also checked all of Lancashire

I looked at various old maps that name some properties but couldn't find it.

Thanks Blue, I have just ordered a 1910 Ordnance Survey map of the area to see if it is named on there. There is also a Facebook page on Thornton Cleveleys past, so will try there as well.
