Does anybody have any expertise with Scottish marriage certificates?

This one took place on 31 December 1915 but registered on 3rd January 1916 (end column), the other marriage on the page was the same. Why would this happen on a different date please?

There's also a couple of words I'm unclear about, mainly places, perhaps you could give them a go please.
Column one, bottom "According to the ???"
Column four, top, "??? Barracks, Edinburgh"
Column six, top, "Parish Minister ???"

According to the terms of the church of Scotland,

Piershill Barracks, Scots Greys I think at one time?, http://www.edinphoto.org.uk/0_pcv_a/0_p ... church.htm

Hogmanay, Registered after holiday period

Haha, I obviously need new specs  - the terms of the church of Scotland, obvious when you know it.

Thank you for the link for Piershill Barracks, especially as the photograph is of the Royal Field Artillery - could be Manoel is in it!!!

Hogmanay, well yes I did realise that somehow this had to be a reason for delay, but was it only the Minister who had to do the registering or did the couple have to return for it to be done at that later date?

Apart from it being Hogmanay, 31st December, 1915, was a Friday, registry office closed till Monday.

Just looked at a marriage that took place, Friday, 31st July, 1903, registered, August 3rd, 1903

Thanks again Bert. I notice the writer of that article had a sense of humour -

"People can choose whether or not to get married (though not to be born or to die)"

A very slight disagreement over one word in the Scottish form: I believe it is 'Forms' rather than 'terms'. Note the crossbar on the capital 'F'.
I have had a similar struggle with Scottish records.
