Hope you can help me sort this.
My 3 X great grandmother had a second marriage to James Cade aged 23 in 1825 at Aston Birmingham.
We have found another marriage for James in York (Born there according to 1851 census) in 1824.
This marriage on Anc, FMP and Family Search gives spouse as Mary Bishophill. There is also no image to view. After much searching and not finding a death, birth or any other info, it was pointed out to me that Mary Bishophill senior may be the church??? We have found other marriages transcribed the same. How do you think I can find hid first wife's name to find her death.
PS at the Aston Marriage, he was a bachelor!!
HELP please

Is this the one you mean? It appears to have taken place at St Mary Bishophill Junior, York in 1825

Oh !! I do hope not, as he married Elizabeth Harvey widow in June 1825 age 23, at Aston, Birmingham The one I have is from 29 October 1824. James Cade aged 23 born 1801. This was at York and has a LDS Film number of 1655693.

I hope the date is wrong for the 1825 York marriage. He is on 1851 and 1861 censuses in Birmingham with Elizabeth who is 10 years older than him.
Thanks for help
Lynne

I have compared the signature on the record you posted with the record of the 1825 Birmingham marriage. Both had James Cade's signature, but they look different. .... The mystery thickens.

The 2 James Cade .. problem solved most probably. The one that married in Yorkshire was from a place called Walton (in Yorkshire) He was baptised in 1775. So not my James Cade. I now think that his marriage to Elizabeth Harvey was his first as he said. The signatures were completely different.
Thank you very, very much for all your help
