Hi All, Hope someone can help me decipher a word on a Seamans death at sea. Name Paul Lawson, page BT 112/39,I can understand the date , 1,January,1844,but as for the rest, of the other pages of this relatives record, nothing.
Many thanks for all your help in advance and all the very best for Christmas and New Year ,plus all you wish yourselves.
What would we do without all the help on here ,it,s the true spirit of Xmas all year round.

Hi Tsumi,
Having a problem locating BT112/39. Can you scan the problem word at the highest DPI definition you can and post the image here?

That NA reference BT112/39 is not one of the references listed for MN deaths at sea. What are the main contents of that archive?

He died aged 29 at Benin, in West Africa, apparently on board the Oscar. The death was reported on the 15th May 1844 when the vessel next returned to a British port.
