Is there a record of midwives - early 20thC?

Hi All,
I've been gathering info from online sources on the subject of midwifery (the history of). In 1902 the Midwives Registration Act established the state regulation of midwives ... so presumably, somewhere, there must be records of the women who registered? Does anyone know where these records might be found?
I'm researching my 3xgr-grandmother, Margaret McQuinn (nee Irving) who is described as a midwife on the 1911 census. Her mother (Fanny Irving) was also a midwife ... but this was long before registration was required.
