Hi All,

Wasn't quite sure where to post this one?

How do I obtain a Irish marriage cert, to prove my theories?

I believe (after a long time) I have found the marriage record for my x 2 Great Uncle George English born 1869 Newcastle upon Tyne (brother to my x2 maternal G.mother Margaret English born 1870 NUT).

It does involve L.pool as he married a L.pool girl.

Elizabeth Forrester Anderson born 30/7/1868
baptism: 20/8/1868 St Peter

Her parents marriage is on the OPC:
Marriage: 26 Mar 1863 St George, Everton, Lancashire, England
Alexander Anderson - full Engineer Bachelor of 17 Wilbraham St
Mary Russell - full Spinster of 32 Chapel Place
Groom's Father: James Anderson, Woolen Manufacturer
Bride's Father: Andrew Russell, Printer
Witness: John Monteath; Margaret Russell
Married by Licence by: N. J. Hindley Minister
Register: Marriages 1860 - 1863, Page 196, Entry 392

George English & Elizabeth Forrester Anderson married Belfast Dec 1892

I have found the family in Belfast 1901:

Certificates can be obtained through this site http://www.groireland.ie Click on apply for cert, open the file and download the application form. I faxed the completed form back using my credit card, but you can mail direct to them. The reference numbers you require for that marriage are Belfast Vol 1 page 453 December quarter 1892. Moya
