Hi Carol,
This appears to be an Irish Protestant or Irish registry office marriage so you can send away for a relatively cheap photocopy of the marriage record. The marriage was in Northern Ireland but it's cheaper to get the record from the Republic of Ireland. Someone will hopefully post the details on here about applying.
I have an Irish registry office marriage record from 1849 the layout of the record is the same as our marriage certificates. The marriage was in Antrim the same county as Lisburn. The GRO in the Republic of Ireland has events for all of Ireland for the 19th Century and they are cheaper than Northern Ireland so I got my record from the Republic of Ireland.

Hello Carol,
The details you need for that cert are:
name: Robert S Kelly
registration district: Lisburn
event type: MARRIAGES
registration year: 1848
Volume number: 7; Page: 60.
According the FamilySearch page this was a civil registration so it should be available here:
http://www.groireland.ie/
At present you cannot order and pay online at the Irish GRO site. You have to download the relevant application form and either complete it on screen or after printing it. You can then either fax or post it back to the GRO. Takes about 7 days if you can fax it or up to 14 days by post. Specify a photocopy version which costs only 6 Euro [abt £4.50]. It is exactly the same as the certified copy costing 2x as much but has no legal standing. Ideal for family research.
If you can't fax from your PC there is probably a friendly fax nearby.

The Ancestry index record page has both Robert S Kelly and Robert Skelly for this marriage. Family Search has this marriage as Robert Skelly on the link below. It could be either Robert S Kelly or Robert Skelly depending on the interpretation of the handwriting on the original record:-

The Irish Family History Foundation
http://ifhf.rootsireland.ie has a record from Antrim in 1848. I had a spare credit so was able to get this: Church Marriage - Kelly, Robert - 1848 - Co. Antrim
You can get a copy of the church record for 25 credits. You can buy credits online and the last time I bought it was 5 Euro for 35. That's abt £3.75!
The IFHF also has 2 Skelly marriages in the same year but they are in County Down not Antrim.
Church Marriage - Skelly, Robert - 1848 - Co. Down
Church Marriage - Skelly, Robert - 1848 - Co. Down

Hi Carol
Is this enquiry linked to the Robert Lemuel/Samuel Kelly one? This Robert may turn out to be a Skelly rather than a Robert S Kelly. If you do spend any money on this get the original marriage record from the Irish GRO to check the handwriting.

Hi Carol,
Just a note to tell you that as an alternative to downloading, completing, and posting or faxing a BMD application to the Irish GRO you can now order and pay online for certified BMDs which cost 10 Euro each [abt £7.90] plus a small charge for postage at the Irish Health Service Executive [oka the HSE] site
http://www.hse.ie/eng/services/Find_a_S ... _ie/costs/
Each certificate costs €8, with a fee of €2 for searching. An additional certificate for the same record costs €8. There is an additional fee of €1 for postage within the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom and €2 for postage elsewhere.
