Hi Collette, glad to see you are still on line. You helped me 5 year's ago to find my Family of Breretons from Liverpool back into Cheshire. Quite a famous family but whilst I thought I may be the" only Squire in the village " my Gt.Gt.G/dad was a farm labourer! However I know the family links now, via marriage etc back to William the Conqueror! You put me on the track! Met a brick wall with his birth and marriage but visited churchyards etc and now know origins through the Lord Breretons of Brereton Cheshire to The Danes who conquered Normandy, the Old Norse who conquered the Orkneys and intermarried with the Kings of Scotland! I have just rejoined the forum, last time on I had to appologise to the Administrator, didn't realise who he was, had the Wombat walking all over West Derby looking for my Nan! You put me on the track and I thank you! I knew my family history in part but started at the wrong end!
New search for you if you dont mind. Whilst I worked most of my life in and around Liverpool, born on the Wirral I obviosly new Liverpool was the Capital of Ireland, all my Mums and Dads Mums ancestors are Irish, I did not know of the Italian residents in Liverpool. I have a neighbour, Italian origin from Liverpool.
Family Names, Innelli, Volante and Simeone. Have most cencus,BMD,s etc but no location of origins in Italy. Have you any info?
From hopefully an old friend, Tony Brereton. Remember The Pontack? Kind regards Tony.
p.s. Love your pics.
