Flaybrick Hill cemetery, Birkenhead

Anyone know this cemetery? If you visit, would it be difficult to find Grave no. 8, CofE, 693?
It should be for Gunner Francis Evans, aged 16 who was training with the Territorials in the Royal Field Artillery in Kent in February 1915 and lost his life.
He is recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, but I do not know if he has one of their headstones.
Any information would be most welcome .

A photo of his gravestone is on the The War Graves Photographic Project website. He is listed as F W Evans. I can't do a direct link as I'm not on my own PC and this one is temperamental!

I see they want a fiver for a copy of an inscription, or for a nil return. Cheaper to pay the tunnel toll and visit!

A word of warning about TWGPP. As you all know I have been compiling a database of soldiers killed etc. I have come across errors on dates of death. For one soldier who was actually killed 1916 but was recorded as being killed 1918 on CWGC, I came up with the bright idea of checking TWGPP site to see what date of death they had recorded and it was the same as the CWGC. Got myself into a right tizzy, pulling my hair out and thinking their going to have to change his headstone. On looking at a larger picture I could make out 1916 on his headstone. I sent a e.mail to the co-ordinator asking him to check the picture and he replied back that it was 1916 on his headstone and they would rectify it. I asked if he could check some more and he wanted to know how many? and I thought about 20. I told him not to bother, if they want to repeat mistakes that have been made by others its up to them. What they must be doing is going on SDGW and CWGC and getting the additional information and dates of death and therefore repeating errors.

The BWG folk have delivered the goods. I now have to find a way of transferring the image from iPad to pc, once pc is restored to health!

Simplest way of transferring from one machine to another, whatever they are, is to email it!

I had just worked that out, but the pc will not link to the outer world at present. I await some gadget from USA, which my tech adviser says will revive the hard drive. It has taken so long I suspect they are dismantling something at Cape Canaveral to get the part.
