Hi Everyone,I have just returned from visiting my cousin, she informed me,the friend with the Heir Hunter has paid up some of deceased relative,s money and account is settled. We don,t know any more details, all friend said was "I have been paid".What I can say is that there is no visible change in her lifestyle not even a holiday booked. My cousins both say they were convinced it is/was a scam, they are both very level headed people so I guess we will never know for sure.Barry Hill,Was he wasn,t he.
Many many thanks for all your interest and help and if nothing else it has been an interesting experience.
Happy Xmas all

Hi Tsumi,
Thanks for the update. In view of the fact that most victims of scams will not admit to having been scammed and your cousins' observations about lifestyle etc, it seems likely it was a scam. But, as you say, we'll never know until the victim confirms it.

We got the feeling they were willing to pay "something" up front, and I wonder what they got back. Well thanks for the update, we will probably never know all the ins and outs, but I think those of us on this forum will definitely be wary as a result of this.

It may have been a small amount so if the person said they were paid we can only taken their word that it was genuine. No proof of a scam. One of my distant relations in Australia has just been contacted by Anglia Research asking about various cousins whereabouts. My first reaction was it's a scam but the company looks to be genuine.

I know what you mean ,I found the various twists and turns compulsive reading ,not knowing what was going to be the result, even not knowing for certain, who, what ,and if,s. I am still in contact with my cousin in Canada but nothing new on the situation has surfaced since 2014.
Once again thanks everyone for all your thoughts and advice and we are all that much wiser for it.Tsumi
