My ancestor Patrick John McElroy b1886 is shown as being a Police Constable in the 1911 Census. He was a Boarder at 55 Wyatt Street, Kirkdale, Liverpool. His occupation was indicated as Police Constable in 1915 when he married Agnes Greaves.

His daughter was named Margaret Patricia b1916 and he was still a police Constable.

Is there a way of getting a copy of his records as a Police Constable?

I've had some success if the constable's job moved to Lancashire as there are more records kept up in Preston, however there are not many for Liverpool.
