Liverpool Church

Hi
Does anybody Know of a Church in Edge Hill Liverpool called St.Mary's circa 1897.I presume it no longer exist because I can find no trace of it, but the name is on a marrige certificate of that year.
I would be glad of any help on this.

Yes, if you mean the Anglican church; the church is still alive, established 1813. It stands in a triangle between Towerlands St, Irvine St and Mount Vernon, at the start of Edge Lane. The parish may have been amalgamated with one or more others. Its old registers will be at the Liverpool Record Office under reference 283 EDG, but see the top announcement on the opening page of the Forum.

Hi All
Thank You to all who help with finding the above Church. The couple who were married in this church in 1897 were both dead within 5 Years and their only child, my Wife's Grandmother became an orphan, aged 5 years.
