Revisiting missing Hazlehursts

As it's too flippin' hot to get in the garden I thought I'd have a go at filling in some gaps but I think the heat's got to the computer 'cos I can't find anyone!
I'm trying to trace two Hazlehursts - Mary, born Liverpool 1854 and her sister Sophia, born Liverpool 1858.
Mary married Thomas Joseph Thompson in 1876 at All Saints and she is on the 1881 census living with her son, William H Thompson at her father's house. After that she disappears. Sophia married John Joynson also in 1876 at St Timothy's, Everton. She then also disappears. Can anyone else find them?
Thanks in advance
Barbara

Please can you clarify whether it is just the ladies who have disappeared or the whole family. Perhaps it would be a good idea to give full details from the 1881 census that you have and also the details from the marriage certificates as addresses, witnesses etc. could be useful.

Hello Barbara,
If you have Thomas Joseph Thompson's marriage cert when was his YoB?

If his wife isn't in the 1891, could she have died? There are two deaths very close in age; Sep 1882 [aged 30] and Mar 1883 [aged 29].

There's a William aged 11 here:
THOMPSON, William - Pupil - 11 - 1880 - West Derby, Liverpool.
Address: Certified Industrial School, 33 Everton Terrace, Everton, Liverpool.
RG12 / Piece: 2950 / Folio: 134 / Page: 3.

Brian

PS: I see Mary's father William made a dramatic career change between 1881 and 1891? From watch maker to umbrella maker!

Thanks to everyone for the response.
Serves me right for mentioning the heat - it's chucking it down now! Still the garden was in dire need - I won't have to water the veg tonight (no hosepipe ban here).
Mary, it's the two whole families that are missing. I don't have the marriage certificates as SKP went and looked them up for me. The information I have is as follows - Thomas Joseph Thompson, profession Carter, to Mary Hazlehurst in 1876. Both living at Hampton Street. His father is Joseph Wilbraham(?) Thompson, profession Tin Smith. I can't find the witness
John Joynson, profession Bootmaker, to Sophia A Hazlehurst in 1876. His address is Acton(?) Street and hers is Richmond row. His father is John Joynson, profession, Welder. The witness is William Eves - the Hazlehursts' lodger in 1881 census.
Sue, I did eventually find the death of Sophia in 1936 so part of the mystery might be solved but where was she until then?
Dickiesam - did you find Mary Thompson's death on Ancestry? Poor little William being sent off to school, you'd have thought there were enough Hazlehursts around to look after him.
Thanks again, I hope more info comes to light. The Hazlehursts seem to have a habit of vanishing!

Hi Barbara,
RE:
Dickiesam - did you find Mary Thompson's death on Ancestry
No, got it on FreeBMD.

If anyone is successful and finds the spouses John Joynson and Thomas Thompson in a census pre-marriage, can you post their YoBs? Still looking!

Brian

PS: Are you sure this is the death of the right Sophia?
Deaths Dec 1936 > Joynson, Sophia - 77 - Liverpool S. - 8b - 179.

Not sure it is the right Sophia but it's the only mention of her I can find and the age fits give or take a year. I'll keep looking.
