Good Morning all,

I wonder if someone could have a look at the 1901 census,R G 13/3459,district 10,page ,1.Bootle cum Linacre
A Thomas Williams age ,39,and family, born Liverpool, and have a go at deciphering what his occupation is.
This could have a bearing on his daughter Dora, who married in 1921 a person who,s sister was a Home Child in 1916 and was sent to Ontario ,Canada. :(
I don,t want to put any more details of the sister because relatives may still be alive.
Many thanks
Tsumi

Hi,
Couldn't find the reference you posted but I think this is the one:
RG13 / Piece: 3459 / Folio: 117 / Page: 1.

This Thomas Williams [aged 39, of 97 Miller's Bridge, Bootle Cum Linacre] is an Inspector with the Liverpool Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. His wife, Mary, is Matron of a Children's Shelter.

Hope this is what you are looking for.
