burial

Post by steve p »

For two infants dying some time between 1842 and 1851 in the Circus Street area (which was towards the town end of Scotland Road), where would the likely burial be? I mean, was there a particular cemetery serving that area at that time?

The family today is RC, but I think back then they may have been CoE.

cheers

Could be anywhere Could be St Anthonys, St Martin in the Field etc etc really difficult to find burials for that time

The Society have a handlist of buriels list which gives details of all the local churchyards and cemeteries where burials took place. A must to have prior to the main cemeteries opening.

My apologies, Mary A, and to northmoels too for dragging you down with me.

I've edited my post to make it mine... northmeols, if you want to delete your post I have the information. Many thanks for your help...

Of course, I still don't know specific death dates - something to work on when the records office opens its doors again perhaps...

thanks again, all...
