I suspect this enquiry might be of interest to others, and also maybe somebody who might have knowledge of the working of the LDS site might be able to offer some knowledge in response to my query. I might add that I have also written to them with this query and if I get a successful response I will update this post.

There are two particular burials that I have discovered and may be related

The same entry is also indexed without the age and birthdate

There is also an entry for

What I'm mystified about is where the burials took place. Does anybody know what the references relate to and can it be worked out which cemetery/graveyard the particular films relate to?

I have looked for that Mary Regan cant see her in St ANts but they may have not put that year on I do know there are gaps.

The LDS Microfilmed the Roman Catholic Records at Liverpool and I think the ref number relates to the film number could be wrong. How are people going to look at the original entries when they are not putting the church/cemetery down. I had the same problem with a baptism a few months back it was just by chance they were Welsh names so i checked St Davids and there is was.

you're right the ref# is the film #. you may be able to order it from your local LDS FHC give them a call.

Interesting that it's St Anthony's, I wonder if it was always an RC church even that long ago, and I can't be positive that Mary would be in the same place since this is one of the clues I'm looking at to try to link these two people, the ages are particularly interesting as they married in 1822 in Christ Church, Hunter Street, both having been widowed previously.

I have written to ask, no reply as yet, but our LDS centre in Liverpool closed a while ago so hoping for the name of the graveyard so that I might be able to find it in the RO.

Brainwave, I phoned Chorley and asked if the references meant anything to them and a very helpful man checked the one for Mary and advised that it was also an RC church, St Patricks, Park Place.

Under the circumstances I don't believe I will be able to claim them as husband and wife, especially not the couple who married in Christ Church anyway.

I tried this with my grandmother's christening also on the pilot site and just given as Eleanor Jane Glover and the date in 1884 in Oswestry. I looked upp the film number 1657589 and guess what that covers 7 churches! So I have emailed asking for clarification and also asking that the vital information of the name of the church is put on the entries.

Within the reply I received was the comment "I don't know why the place isn't specified". Perhaps with a number of queries of this sort they will rethink their transcription strategy.

I have now received this utterly useless reply. I actually sent them their entry from the pilotfamily search and the entry from their library catalogue of the film with the 7 churches asking if they could identify the church. It appears they did not read what I sent and basically are sending out a set reply. I'm not impressed.

From memory I believe my BIVRI discs are a set of 22, perhaps they have different.

I can't imagine it would be worthwhile telling them, so far you have received only stock answers, not sure you would get any better from them when pointing out their errors.

After my holiday I shall contact Shropshire Record Office and see if they can help.

the lds church has the BVRIndex about 25 disks a year for england parish records there are over 160 disks now. many have been updated as new parish records have been transcribed.

St Pats is still there Mary...it was my grans parish church, I used to trudge up the hill every day with her to light candles...it's beautiful inside and quite a landmark in that part of Liverpool.

Sadly the two burials being in different churches, combined with the religion, makes me think they aren't the Peter and Mary I'm looking for, their marriage was in Christ Church, Hunter Street in 1822 keeping an open mind for the time being.
