Record Office closure

Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can tell me whether or not the new temporary premises for the records will have access to the Newspapers for the 18th/19th centuries please? I had intended to make the trip to Liverpool but health problems made that impossible before it all closed :(
I know for certain that my gt.grandfather committed suicide by drowning (I have his death cert.) but the coroner's inquest records do not appear to exist any more. I am sure there would have been a newspaper report at the time because suicide was a crime then, so when I am up to it I intend to visit Liverpool and try and find out :D
If anyone can help I'd be very grateful :)
Thank you,
Lilian :)

A poster was put up yesterday 15th June 2010 which says that they are closing at the end of June 2010, and are hoping to have a reduced service up and running by the middle of July (the people in the know dont think this will be the case). The microfilms are going to be relocated in the World Museum next door to the Central Library. If you look at the topic Liverpool Library Closure there is a leaflet explaining where the temporary services are going to be located.
