Marriage Look Up please - Liverpool St. Annes

I am looking for the marriage of William Daniels & Maria Hughes. Took place at St.Annes 10 September 1817. The OPC do not have registers for this date and I wondered where they could be found, and would the registers record the occupation of the groom. The bride's father was an attorney at law according to her baptism record in 1802. Many thanks. Moya

I've amended the heading of your post to something more appropriate, in case anybody has the opportunity to do a look up for you.

At that date it's not very likely that an occupation is given although sometimes it is, but hopefully the abode will be either "of this parish" or not, sometimes giving a small clue.

Hi,
The St. Anne's, Richmond marriage index gives the marriage you detailed to Maria Hughes on 10 Sept. 1817 and lists William as Pilot.
There is another marriage for William Daniels, Pilot to a Jane Davies on 22 August, 1831.
Both marriages show married by Banns.

Thanks MaryA and Pat B. This is the same person, Maria died in 1825 and he married again to Jane. I don't think I can go any further with this. I was hoping to get William's father's name from the marriage record as I can't find any baptism record for William. Regards Moya

Is this not the same information that Jan posted on 7th June?

As you want information from the Maritime Museum archives your best bet would be to employ a researcher say for 2 hours which shouldn't be too expensive to look at all the releavnt Pilot information you have listed on your previous post.

Thankyou all for your interest and advice. I have received a lot of information from the Maritime Museum about William Daniels, the Pilot and I have records of all his children to both wives. The one thing I am missing is the name of William's father. I was hoping to get this from his marriage record to either Maria or Jane, but as you say, that information would probably not be recorded. Regards Moya

As I advised above, and provided the link to, Jan provided you with all of the information from the Parish Register, you have not acknowledged her help.

Hi

Looking at the first two children of William & Maria..named John Bennet Daniels and William Coppell Daniels.. maybe there are clues as to William's mothers maiden name.. Bennet or Coppell..if you can rule out the names being from Maria's family then maybe they come from William's family.

xx
