Over the weekend I have been talking to a new found relative connected to a 1st cousin once removed.

I was told there was a family ' Rumour' that this cousin was murdered in L.pool. I have never heard this story, my paternal family's motto was " Listen and say nothing."

I do not want to post this relatives name as I think it would be disrespectful.

Has anyone access to the Gale newspapers or any other papers of the time that would be prepared to pm me to see if there is anything recorded?

I have the exact date of death, plus address they would be living at the time, plus comprehensive data on the family.

Edited: I cannot find a death ref for this person?

Have now found a possible re-marriage 1916 then a possible death right qtr 1918.

Have sent for the marr cert to confirm this is correct & will go from there.

The Gale newspaper site stops at 1900 so you need someone who is prepared to do a look up at the Liverpool Record office in the local paper of the day.

There shoukd be a death reference for the person. I was going to say his death certificate would be useful. He didn't die in the First World War by any chance?

Thanks EO,

I did wonder about Gale.. last time I had access it was up to 1913, thought it may have been extended.

Hi EO,

Just noticed your post script.

No not WW1, this person was female.

As I am sat here thinking, her hubby died 1915 WW1, maybe she remarried? and registered under her new married name.

Thanks ,
