Looking for any photos of the above around 1900.

Has anyone any ideas where I might find??

My mother in law lived here in 1901 aged 1 !!!

I would suggest that your first place to look would be Widnes Library who seem to have good Local and Family History Departments.

Scroll down on that page to the Local History link and then to Online Resources where you will find a link for pictures http://www.picturehalton.org.uk/ There is a search engine which found four photographs of terrace Road, although these may not be as old as you are looking for.

I suspect there will be some held at the library.

Thx Mary for your reply

I may have been born in Widnes, but was back in L'pool at six weeks old.
Since then, Widnes has been for passing through on the way to N Wales or parts of Cheshire.

There is an online enquiry form on the library website, perhaps they'd be able to tell you whether they have anything worth making a special trip for.

Hi Mary,

Followed your recommendation about Widnes library and was connected to "AskaLibrarian" on line.
A lady called Sue was really helpful in an on line conversation, which was followed up with a confirmatory e mail outlining all the info stored for reference.

Thx again for your guidance

Oh good, I'm a great fan of the telephone myself, it's often much easier to explain what is needed and a the personal verbal thank you never goes amiss, it's often got me a lot of help.
