Hi Colette
People cannot do look ups on Find my Past - this from the terms and conditions subscribers agree too.

•You can only use the Services and the Records for your PERSONAL family history research and not for commercial purposes, or to provide lookups for others

There are copies of the GRO overseas births at Crosby Libray, Southport Library's set are now at Formby and there is a set at Liverpool Central Library.

Hi Col,

Have you tried the familyrelatives website?

http://www.familyrelatives.com/post_search.php

You will have to download the viewer, a bit tricky to use this site, but I got there in the end. I tried searching but found a lot of the records were for Corfu!

Hi Col
Even if you could do look ups, it's so costly as it doesn't bring the individual just birth say Wake to Wright, no place except Military births in India etc between a huge amount of years.
Each link to click on costs subs.

Hi Col,
Re my PM.. try this.. Go to: http://www.piastow.pl/
The page will be Polish initially but an option to translate to English will appear across the top of the window in your browser.

On the top left there's a menu headed URZAD MIEJSKI. Click on CONTAKT.
Translate the new page and see heading City Hall Piast. There's an email address there sekretariat@piastow.pl

Send them an email, in English, asking if they can give you access to birth, marriage and death records from their city from the 1800s? Or can they forward your mail to a person or department that can help?

Good luck,
Dickiesam
