Has anyone access to 1871 and 1891 census. Found this family on the 1881 but looked on the Freecen site for them in 1871 and 1891 but couldn't find them. In 1881 William Daniels age 41, born Liverpool, fisherman. Wife Charity born Dublin. Sons John age 14, William age 9, daughters Mary age 7, Hannah age 5, Elizabeth age 2, son Thomas age 6 months, this son died shortly after the census and another son also called Thomas was born in 1882. Have also tried to find marriage record for William and Charity but no luck. They were living in Hornby Street Liverpool in 1881. Hope someone can help. Many thanks Moya

Hi Moya, me again
Record on Lancs BMD - marriages
William Daniels m Charity Gosling at Liverpool, St Peter in 1859
In 1871 Charity is listed as Head of Household working as a Charwoman, guess William could have been at sea
Children John 5, William 2
Also has 2 boarders living with her : Thomas & Hannah Gibbon
Hope this helps

Just to pass the time - and to dispel any thoughts of housework, thought I'd look at Charity.
In the same year, and church that Charity married William, John Gosling married Mary Gunn. Connection maybe, I thought
1861 census shows John, born Ireland and occ is fisherman and the couple are living at 123 Limekiln Lane, literally round the corner from where Hornby Street used to be. Stronger possibility of John being Charity's brother
The spooky thing is I work for a charity whose address is 119 - 133 Limekiln Lane - yes the same Limekiln Lane - see what i mean about spooky!!
