Emma Lydia White born 1847/8 at Egremont, Cheshire daughter of John George ans Amelia -died in Llandudno in 1862. Death registered in Conway.
Family lived in Wirral in 1861.
No trace of burial in Llandudno - can anyone suggest place of burial - I dont have any local knowledge of Wirral or North Wales.
thank you

When you say no trace in Llandudno I presume you mean you've tried all the local churches with graveyards? What was her address at death? This might lead to the right place.
If you think she went back to the Egremont/Wallasey, the church with a graveyard is St Hilary's Wallasey. There is also Rake Lane Cemetery but I don't know when it was opened.

Rake Lane didn't open until 1883, at the time you are searching I would suspect a churchyard to be more likely.
The Wirral Government site
http://www.wirral.gov.uk/LGCL/100003/20 ... 00450.html gives a list of the Cemeteries, unfortunately no dates and I gave Landican a phone call since that is the main one for the area, but they don't seem to have that sort of information. I'll google and if I can find out the dates I'll post on our "For Posterity" board.
Out of interest - I was advised that all burials would be on the microfiches held at the Birkenhead Town Hall, although it may be that if you have an exact date of death, Landican might be willing to try to find it for you if it was in one of the cemeteries that they held the records for.

Found her with lots of siblings in a big family in 1861. Apparently fairly well off family. Herself and siblings, Theology students, may well have been training as missionaries?
RG09 - Piece:2647 - Folio:21 - Page:8
Address: St Aidans Terrace, Claughton, Bidston, Cheshire.
I'd say they would have almost certainly brought Emma home to be buried locally.
Interesting.. In the 1851 she is Elizabeth Emma L White. In fact 3 siblings are also have Elizabeth enumerated as a first name. Is that why a burial is difficult to find? It may be a transcription error though. See here:

That information would be from the Cheshire Online Parish Register site, so I suspect the church would have been St Oswald's Bidston, there is an interesting site with information about it here
