I have an article that has come from a newspaper (approx June 1941) which has my grandad on it and 3 of his brothers (the title is "Four Serving Sons") obviously with the interest in the film Saving Private Ryan and my interest in Genealogy I would like to know where it would have come from and if I can find our more?
Can anyone help point me in a direction as I am stuck at the moment. The serving brothers were:
Reginald Tasker - driving instructor A.A.R.A
Thomas Tasker - R.A.
George Tasker - R.A.
Eric Tasker - R.A.
PLEASE HELP

Do you know the brothers come from Liverpool? If so how do you know that fact? Are there any addresses given on the article ages etc?
The newspapers for this time are not indexed so for anyone to perhaps do a look up they need a far more precise date which is why I am suggesting the above.

My suspicions are that their parents were Charles Henry Tasker and Catherine Pinnell? married September Q 1909, either Register Office or Registrar attended 8b 1059.
I see only one death for the boys?
Thomas Tasker, Gunner in the Royal Artillery, 308 Coast Bty. age 30, died 12/04/1944, Service Number 1568075, buried in Allerton Cemetery Sec. 2F. C. of E. Grave 300.

Hi MaryA
Am sorry you may have misunderstood my request - I know their dates of birth etc and parental lineage - what I was after was knowing more about the article and where it came from and if possible I can get someone (one of my relatives) to get a copy - if anyone knows how to - or where they would need to search to do so I'd be grateful.....
sorry for my post to be abit misleading...

I'm afraid the only way would be for your relatives to sit at a microfilm reader in Liverpool Record Office and go through every issue of every Liverpool paper for the year you think the article was published. I would start with the ones Katie has suggested. They may by the typeface be able to work out which newspapers to ignore.
There is no easy way as the newspapers are not indexed so it's just a long long trawl!
